So far 244,367 people have played Grab a Grand and 7,732
people have joined the business. This represents an amazing 4%
conversion ratio. More importantly between January and March this year
21860 have played and 1250 have joined - An astounding 6% conversion
ratio.
The company have now re launched Grab a Grand with a new
viral aspect to it. Basically when somebody plays Grab a Grand they are
sent a confirmation email containing a link. They must click on this
link to confirm their entry. Upon clicking on the link, they are taken
to a page where they are offered the chance to win £5000 by recommending
3 of their friends! This is how the viral aspect works. You tell someone
about Grab a Grand, who tells a friend who tells others. This is a
fantastic marketing tool with a very good conversion ratio.
New tools have been made available to us to promote Grab
a Grand, these include...
New web banners, a new e-flyer, scratchcards, new
coasters (beer mats) downloadable files you can send to a printer (a
good but cheap printer can be found at
www.printer.com ) and a new A5 flyer.
Be creative with these, contact everyone you know
including those who have previously said no and tell them "I have just
put a new competition on my website, you get 3 free chances to win £1000
and maybe the chance to win £5000"
The new promotional materials will be available in you
back office under "tools" as from Monday 8th May 2006. Get some
flyers/cards etc and always carry them with you. Let's get creative with
these! No longer think of it as trying to "sell" e-lottery but just
offering people a chance to win up to £5000. Who wouldn't want to have a
free chance to win £5000?
Also promote it online using email sigs, blogs, forums,
your own website (if you don't have your own website, many ISP - who
provide your email account, offer free webspace. Contact your ISP and
ask them)
Remember all those that enter Grab a Grand and those
friends recommended by those who play will be automatically entered into
the prospecting system.
The new game
e-lottery's new game is a game of the "Skill Gaming"
type, it is not gambling and therefore not regulated under the gambling
act. Skill gaming is prize competitions. It is any game in which your
skill is pitched against others to determine the outcome.
It has mass market appeal, appealing to gamblers and non
gamblers alike. It's a place to be entertained.
Why this game?
Because its convenient, fun, exiting, engaging and has
competitive edge. It compliments e-lottery and has excellent compliance
and is not gambling.
As it is a skill game, it is not under the regulatory
controls of the gambling act and therefore can be advertised anywhere!
It's fun, exciting appeals to everyone and it's called e-lotbidder.
Rules of the game.
It's an auction, but unlike conventional auctions where
the highest bidder wins in e-lotbidder they lowest UNIQUE bid wins. If
there are 2 or more bids for the same amount then that bid is cancelled
and the bidder is offered another chance to bid.
The player bids by entering their name, email address and
the amount they want to bid. The system then sends them an email telling
them whether or not their bid is unique.
The first bid is free
If the player then decides to bid again they pay £1.50
also at this stage if the player purchases a bid they are automatically
entered into the prospecting system.
Players have bid history and account information on the
website. They are also informed on the website of how many lower unique
bids are available. Remember it's the lowest unique bis that wins.
The Prize
The current prize is a brand new Mercedes CLK convertible
! WOW!
There will also be smaller prizes introduced at a later
stage. There will be a range of promotional tools available to promote
the game in your back office soon.
The amazing news!
This game can also be played by mobile phone! so in
effect can be played from anywhere at anytime. To do this the player
just sends a text msg thus...
open a new text message
Type in the word car followed by a space then your
membership number followed by an x
Next they type in there unique bid, so if I was to get
someone to enter by mobile phone it would be (assuming my bid is £1.49)
car 18585x 1.49
Then send the message to short code No. 80039
How easy is that?
The player will then receive a text message back to them
telling whether or not they have a unique bid and offering the chance to
bid again.
This will be the website address you should give to
people to get the to take a look.
So how do we earn money from e-lotbidder?
The commission structure is based on the e-lottery
commission structure i.e 20% personally introduced and 5% on all your
team down 7 levels. It's £1.50 per bid so 30p for each bid on your
personal efforts and approx 7.5p on your teams effort. This may not
sound like a lot but consider that most people will be bidding much more
than just once, especially considering the amazing prize up for grabs!
There is a slight difference to this though ( I think I
have got this right, but if not I will re post the correct info later)
There is a qualifying CV (commission volume) of £15 or ten bids. I
assume this means you get paid nothing for the first 10 bids. A way of
ensuring you qualify for your commission is to purchase £15 worth of
bids and play the game yourself - this is what I have done.
Update 10/05/05
I contacted member support and asked...
"The £15 CV - does this mean that no commissions are
earned until £15 (10
bids) have been placed or does it mean that a member has to purchase a
minimum of £15 worth of bids before they qualify or can it be either?"
Their reply was...
"If you wish to earn Commission for the e-lotbidder
you will need to purchase the Affiliate Qualification Pack which can be
found on your e-lotbidder website by clicking on 'Buy Bids'.
You will then see the 'Affiliate qualification package' which you can
purchase for £15.00.
If you do not sign up to the package you will not earn Commission.
Once you have 5 members playing e-lotbidder you will be effectively
playing e-lotbidder for free."
I wasn't happy with that so I asked... (reply from Len in
red)
Thanks Kelly,
However, I may be a little thick! NO
YOUR NOT....
I have purchased the Affiliate Qualification Pack and I assume that
if 5
people who are already members purchases the pack 5 x £15 = £75 and
at 20%
commission = £15 (so effectively free - right?) Does this only apply
to
affiliate members only or can player only members purchase the pack?
Correct John, either
"Player" or "Affiliates" can purchase the Bid Pack, this would not
automatically make them an Affiliate to e-lottery
What about non members of VWD? I assume they can bid as well?
Yes they can, they are 'Players' or
Retail Customers.
If they can, do I also earn the 20% of each of their bids as
well? or have I got it
completely wrong?
Yes you DO......
Also any idea when the new tools to promote this will be live on the
website?
Tomorrow or Friday.,
Best Regards,
Len..
Another update!
Hi John,
URGENT RETRACTION!!!
People who are
NOT already e-Lottery Affiliates do have to pay the £4.99
to become an e-lotbidder Affiliate and then purchase £15 worth of
Bids to confirm status.
e-Lottery Affiliate
Members do NOT have to pay the £4.99, simply just
select to buy the £15 worth of Bids.
Sorry for the confusion .... Keep
us updated on any errors you come across !
Regards,
Len.
So there you have (from the horses mouth so to speak!) I hope this
clears up some of the questions we all may have but if not just ask me
or contact the guys and girls at member support.
Commissions earned on mobile phone texts are different, I don't
exactly know what they are but it's something to do with the profit made
after the telecom company have had their slice of the pie. Best to speak
to Len on this one. When I find out more, I'll put it here.
I wouldn't worry too much about the technical details for
now, the most important thing to do is get everyone to visit your new
website. All you have to do is offer them a chance to win a brand new
Mercedes CLK convertible and remember their first bid is free!
I think I have covered most things, but if you have any
questions, please contact me or take a look on the forum as I'm sure
there will be much discussion going on about it!
Looking for a way to promote your e-lottery business?
My good friend and fellow VWD member Ray Ford was at the
meeting in Birmingham and turned up in his new van. I took some photos
to show you just what can be done with a little imagination
Believe it or not, that's the Hilton Metropole hotel in
the background - looks more like a block of flats! - It's really posh
inside though...
Here's some photos of the prize car taken at the
meeting...
