Building your business

 Consistency

The key to building any network marketing business is CONSISTENCY - consistency in contacting, presenting, follow-up and sponsoring.

In order to achieve the goals that you set for yourself on the Set Your Goals page, I want you to do a little maths...

Decide HOW MUCH MONEY you want to be making by this time next year. Then break it down into months, and then into days. For instance, if you want to be making £1,000 per month by this time next year, then divide that amount by 12. You'll see that to achieve that level of income, you'll need to add an average of 20 people to your down line every month. (based on £4 per person -  20% commission)

Then break that down into days... Divide 20 by 30 days. You'll need to add fewer than 0.6666 people to your downline, PER DAY, Just over 1 every 2 days, to achieve that target level of income. This does not include what members of your downline are doing – Remember you earn 5% from each one they introduce!

 I can tell you that ABSOLUTELY, if you are giving this program your all, you can do this.

ANYONE - including you - is capable of achieving whatever level of income they desire in this company. Do the maths. Break it down into a daily goal. It will give you the motivation you need to "stay on track" to achieve the level of income you desire.

Consistently contact as many people as you need to every day in order for you to achieve your sponsorship goals (this will vary from person to person).

Remember: as you become a student of the system and fine tune your skills you will sponsor a higher percentage of people. 

Start Your Customer Base

The first task when starting your business is to obtain some players who just play in the games.

Simply hand out some brochures or DVD’s to friends and family and advise them that they can take advantage of a smarter way to play or just ask "Would you like to join our lottery syndicate"

Your first objective must be to find 5 so you yourself can play for free, you should do this as soon as possible (players can also be upgraded to affiliates at a later date)

Follow the 4 step prospecting system

 Step 1. Qualify and invite

Below you will find telephone scripts for contacting your prospects by phone. Please read this section first as this is the recommended way to approach them.

Before you go asking your questions you must realise why you are asking them. The purpose of the questions is to qualify people. If they show no interest, thank them for their time, keep their details and contact them at a later date. See why this is important

The second purpose is to invite them to hear about e-lottery. Remember, you are not trying to sell them e-lottery or pitch them. You are not trying to get them to join anything. You are simply informing them about e-lottery so they can decide if they are interested in taking a closer look.

If you understand this it will be easier for you to speak with people. You will understand your not selling but informing. It is a lot easier to do and lands better with people. When I got my head around this and changed my attitude my results changed instantly.

The purpose of this script is to give you a step by step process to set up your prospecting call properly, keep you in control, and remove the fear of picking up the phone to talk to people you know.

It also allows you to have a system where you get all the relevant information to somebody that is actually interested in receiving it and make sure that you don’t give out too much information over the phone that will allow your prospect to pre-judge before they have even seen it!

When you start making your calls make sure you are sitting in a quiet comfortable area with a pen to take notes.

This is how the call will start,

“Hi (name), its Ian, (Make sure that you get the preamble out of the way quickly and don’t let that drag on because you are nervous) do you have a couple of minutes talk?

At this stage they are going to say one of 2 things:

“Yes, what’s it all about”, or they might say, “No, I am just on my way out” or “I’m just going to pick up the wife, kids, husband etc”.

If they say they are going out,

“Great (name) what would be a good time to call you back?”

“Why, what’s it all about?”

“Well, I need 15 minutes to get your opinion on something but it’s quite important and I would rather call you back when it’s more convenient.  Are you in tonight, afternoon, etc?”

It is vital that you do not get drawn into conversation at this stage because they have told you they are going out and will not be paying attention, so you must call back.  If they say YES, “I am fine to talk”, carry on.

“(Name), I have just started a part-time project to earn some extra money. You know, help paying with the credit cards, the mortgage, paying for the holidays etc. It’s a British based company that at the moment is experiencing fantastic growth. Over 20 million people do this in the UK regularly every week, and a 100 million people in Europe.  The company has found a way to do what all these people are already doing, but do it better, cheaper and even free.

They have a great way you can earn substantial income without disturbing what you are currently doing. They need ambitious motivated people to help with expansion. Would that be something you’d be interested in taking a look at (name)?”

Now, at this stage, this is the most important part.

It is vital that you now get confirmation that they are interested in taking a look at something to earn extra income and have the time. If they give you a straight answer and say, “Yes, I am always interested in taking a look at something like that!” then you can go on to the next stage.

If they um and ah, and say stuff like – “it depends, what is it?”  It is imperative that you DO NOT launch into an explanation!

“(Name), all I am concerned with doing right is ascertaining whether or not you would like to get the facts on earning some extra income, or whether that’s something you wouldn’t be interested in.  Because, if its not, I wont waste our time.”

“Is it something you would be interested in (name)?”

IF they persist in saying “it depends, what it is, I am not sure etc”, and won’t give you a commitment, then say,

“OK (name), rather than go through everything with you and waste your time and mine, let’s just leave it at that. And I will see you in the pub Friday/football Saturday/school yard etc. If in the meantime you decide that you would like to find out how to earn some extra income, then give me a call.”

And put the phone down!

Do not give your strength away by then starting to tell them on their terms, unless they have said they are interested in earning extra income first and are prepared to look at all the facts and give you a considered opinion.

 Step 2. Present the business

If they have said they are interested then here is what to say next.

“(name), rather than go through everything over the phone which could take ages, what I would like to do first is send you some information via email.  The first email will give you an outline of what I am doing and give you a link to my website. There will also be a link to a movie you can watch on your computer. This will give you all the facts you will need to decide if you want to take things further.”

“The second email I send you will have a subject heading, “the information you requested” and there will be a link in there that you have to click just to confirm that it’s ok to send you the info. Please make sure that you click that.”

“What I am then going to do then (name), is give you a ring back within 24 hrs just to find out what you think and answer any questions you may have. If it’s not for you, then that’s ok with me. It is fine to say no! Are you happy with that (name)?”

Finish by reminding them,

“So, (name), take a look at this information I will give you a call back on, (day) at (time), is that OK?”

To make sure that you know exactly when your prospect has opened your email, use a small free program called MSGTAG that you can download from www.msgtag.com.

So when you finish the phone call, send your prospect the short introductory email with your movie link in it and immediately put their name and email address into the prospector in your affiliate area.  Then add their name to your list of follow-up calls in your diary.

When you make your follow up call you will know whether or not they have opened your email because MSGTAG will have notified you exactly how long it took them.

At this stage all you have to do is say, “Hi (name), its Ian.  I see you have read my email, what did you think of the information? Do you think it’s something you would like to find out more about?”  Then if they say no, say “Great – I will see you in the pub Friday night etc.

 Step 3. Validation

If they say “Yes, it looks interesting, what do I do now?”

Tell them the first thing to do is get signed up online, and you will show them how to get started. 

 At this stage you may also want to send them a copy of the DVD to reinforce what they have seen and get them on the conference call on a Tuesday Many will say "Yeah great, how do I join this" and then not bother! So always best to back up what they have seen so far by using the DVD / Conference call

 Step 4. Follow up

Follow up in a few days time whether they have joined or not. Your prospect/new member will have questions and you must be able to answer or get answers to them.

Here's where we can use the 3 way telephone call with your sponsor.

This is the most important part of the 4-Step Prospecting System. The more 3-way calls you arrange the more people will join, the bigger team you will have and the more money you will make and help them make.

Do not arrange a 3-way call if your prospect hasn't been through the first 3 steps.

When arranging a 3-way call tell your prospect that it is an appointment so they have to be in when they say they will be - myself and others do not want to be sitting around waiting for people when they agreed a time for the call.

 Create a Story

I can't stress enough the importance of getting off to a fast start and creating a story. This will help you no end in your business.

Once you have got off to a fast start you will have a story, it might be "I joined 4 weeks ago and already I have 6 people in my team which means I'm playing the UK Lotto with 88 entries each week all for free!"

Or my story, "I've been a member for nearly 3 years now and in that time I've won far more playing the smarter way than I ever did in all the years playing the conventional way. I started with the aim of playing for free which I easily achieved in my first 4 weeks. I now play in multiple free syndicates and have a global business with is experiencing growth of between 20% - 30% per month"

Or it might be something as simple as "My commission cheque I receive every 4 weeks now pays/helps pay my mortgage/car repayment/school fees/beer money! etc etc"

Remember: Ingredients tell but stories SELL!

 Some helpful hints to build your e-lottery business
  • Set up a separate place in your home for your business where you can be quiet and make phone calls etc.

  • Set up a specific time each day you are going to make phone calls. Build your business by design not by accident!

  • You will be amazed at the response you receive and with GST''s easy to follow system you will find that everyone will feel informed and supported when following the system.
